It’s Saturday Open Forum.

Hikaru Nakamura just won his fourth tournament in a row. Impressive! Irina Krush made a wonderful comeback to finish with a +1 score at Corus C and Fabiano Caruana convincingly won Corus C by a 2 point margin. Magnus Carlsen shared 1st place with Levon Aronian in Corus A. This duo will be a force to be reckoned with for years to come.

The USCF President recently issued a statement that he expected the federation to lose at least $100,000 this year then tried to backtrack his statement after facing a series of criticism. The legal woes of the federation is far from over and the legal bills will continue to climb rapidly. I have documented some of the problems here. Nothing changed! The destructive politics that have hindered the USCF for a long time continue.

I am posting LIVE updates of the EB meeting today and tomorrow here and I will post a recap on http://uschess.blogspot.com/ later.

Super Bowl XLII is tomorrow. The incredibly strong Moscow Open starts today and some American players such as Kaidanov, Krush, Pruess and Friedel are there.
