NACA Announces North American Chess Center
Grand opening on the weekend of National Chess Day

Throughout the course of Chicago history there has been many chess centers and chess clubs. From the Chicago Chess Club (or was it Chicago Chess Center, I can’t remember), to the Midway Chess Club, to the Touch Move Chess Center, so we have always been blessed to have a location to play chess at.

With the continual growth of chess in the Chicagoland area, thanks to the hard work and dedication of many chess organizers, the NACA has found that the time is appropriate to open up a full-time chess center. As such, the North American Chess Association (NACA) is proud to announce the opening of our first North American Chess Center in North America, here in the Chicagoland area.

Over the course of the up coming weeks, we will release pictures displaying the build-out and preparation of the chess center. We will also have a chess equipment store with a special focus on DGT equipment (clocks and the electronic chess boards). We will be having our grand opening on the weekend of National Chess Day. We will begin with a Game/5 blitz event on Friday October 8 and go through the entire weekend (National Chess Day is Saturday October 9). A full list of the events for grand opening weekend will be made available soon.

Good Chess to All,
Sevan A. Muradian, Founder
North American Chess Association
