There are only about 10 days left to send in your ballots. The ballot counting will commence at the USCF offices in Crossville TN on Wednesday, July 25th, under the supervision of the Chief Teller, Frank Camaratta. Any USCF member is welcome to observe the ballot counting. Preliminary results will be released by the USCF office by the 12 USCF regions as those regions are completed.
Here is my vision for the USCF.
Here is more election information.
– Mikhail Korenman: He is one of the key components for a successful USCF as an organization. Very few people in the USCF can successfully work with scholastic, college, adult, professional and Internet chess. Mikhail not only can work and bridge all these membership groups; he has one of the most impressive records of success. Many chess membership groups do not understand each other and cannot work together. Mikhail can change this. He can also help raise the membership level which means more revenues for our federation. This is why I ask you to please vote for him.
– Paul Truong: As you all know, Paul is by far one of the most successful persons in chess marketing, promotion and PR in US chess history. He has a unique combination that few possess. He was a chess prodigy and competed at a very high level. But he gave up chess to pursue an incredibly successful professional career. Therefore, he understands the mentality of chess players and he understands how businesses operate. This is why he is able to combine them and make some of the most spectacular deals for chess while no one else can even come close to this. He can help raise additional revenues for the USCF. Without his guidance and lead in this area, the USCF will go nowhere. Anyone who spends 5 minutes talking to him will understand that he is in a different league than the rest of the field in these areas.
– Randy Bauer: How often do you have a person with Randy’s experience? He was the budget director of the state of Iowa, dealing with multi-billion dollar budgets. Randy is also a chess master and supporter. He served on the USCF EB one year and helped this federation achieve a remarkable turn around. He is a finance guy. His skills and experience in finance is crucial for this federation.
Mikhail, Paul and Randy can help the USCF a great deal and I ask you to vote for them.
The current board has done enough damages to the USCF already. There is no strong or competent leadership. It is time for a serious change. It is time to bring in the professionals to turn the USCF into a strong, financially sound and viable organization.
Only around 4,000 ballots have been received so far out of nearly 40,000 sent. The USCF needs strong leadership to end the destructive politics, poor performance and unprofessional behavior.
Some of our USCF leaders and their supporters resort to vicious attacks, personal insults, name calling and malicious lies to try to win this election instead of focusing on fixing the USCF. They have no plan or idea on how to do this. This is what they have done in every election and we ended up with the same problems year after year.
You can help change everything with your votes! We cannot afford another 4 years of failure and destruction. Let your voice be heard! Please vote!
Thank you for your support!
Susan Polgar
I voted for you and your team. Good luck!
I’m shocked of the level of dishonesty shown by Bill Goichberg. He behaved very badly as USCF President. This needs to change. His post card and email are unethical and in very poor taste.
Did Goichberg disclose that Joe Lux is his employee? Did he disclose that he illegally used insider knowledge to outbid other oganizers in the past? So now Goichberg wants people to vote for 4 people who will help his CCA empire?
Good luck with the election. Hang in there.
Goichberg is clueless as President of the USCF. He doesn’t understand that it’s a serious conflict of interest running a multimillion dollar CCA and a non-profit USCF simultaneously. His sole interest is his CCA and not the USCF. That’s why he’ll do anything to destroy anyone who can take his bread away.
It’s pathetic for Goichberg to try to politicize Ms. Polgar’s marriage. It’s none of his business who and when she’s married. Her personal life is hers. He can’t say anything good about his own candidates so he had to try to attack the other candidates. This is the status of the uscf.
Goichberg has a tight relationship with Sam Sloan for years. He even allowed Sloan to play in the 2007 World Open for free.
You’re unfit to run for the board. Jerry Hanken and Bill Goichberg are right about you. You have no idea who you’re messing with. Get out of the election now before it’s too late. This federation needs Schultz, Lux, Berry and Jones. We don’t need a stupid woman in charge.
Why such hostility? Let’s show Mr. Goichberg the proper respect. Let’s not behave the same way as they do. We can do better.
Best wishes,
Susan Polgar
You look really sexy here!!!
I seriously hope this doesn’t happen but what if the worst case scenario does happen and you are elected along with Sloan? I doubt that outcome is likely but I guess there could be enough misinformed or troublemaking USCF members out there who might vote for him. Or another scenario, not as bad but almost, you are elected along with two high quality people (either Paul, Randy, Mikhail, Jim or possibly Jones) and then Lux who seems to be well liked by the TD crew but has posted a number of inane comments on the USCF forum (and that signature — “chessically yours. Enough already). How will that board function? And if you think the Trio of Loudmouths (Brian Lafferty, Brenan Nierman and Harry Payne) have been annoying during the campaign, I’m sure they will be even more obnoxious once you are elected. (Unless they take up another hobby, one that they actually are good at.)
Just one question: Who exactly is Harry Payne and what is his role in the chess community? I looked up his membership ID number and it said unrated/no tournaments since 1991. Is he a TD, an organizer? Why is he allowed to post his barely literate (try spellcheck next time you post) screeds? What do they add to chess culture in this country? In my mind, they drag it down to the gutter. Does the USCF really need to sanction a forum for this purpose? Frankly, any normal, psychologically healthy person who took a peek at the USCF issues forum on any given day, would conclude, that chess is an activity for a bunch of whiners and losers. If Goichberg and his other board members think that having people like Brian Lafferty, Sam Sloan, Harry Payne and Brenan Nierman feel free to post whatever drivel they want is good for him, he has got it wrong. It is bad for chess which ultimately is bad for him. Chess has enough of a bad rap because of Bobby Fisher’s descent into anti-semitic madness. You don’t need to have a forum where all the wingnuts (from both wings as Nierman and Lafferty are on the left and Payne is on the right) come out and howl to the moon every day.
Payne and Brenan are just 2 obnoxious loudmouths. They’re worst than Sloan and Lafferty. Forget about these losers. They’re nobody.
