Thanks to NY Chess Mom for alerting me about the chess article in today’s NY Post, I went to get a copy for myself. In the sports section, the article discussed chess in the Yankees Club House. Some of the players who play include the MVP Superstar Alex Rodriguez, catchers Craig Wilson & Sal Fasano, etc.
Not to be outdone by the Yankees, in the Mets broadcast today on channel 11 in NY, the commentators also discussed about chess in the Mets’ Club House.
As I said recently, the popularity of chess in this country is at an all time high. We just have to do our parts to keep the positive momentum!

Lavar Arrington of the Giants is also an avid chessplayer, if I remember right.
