Congrats to all who qualified!
I am not sure what you mean by Minimum peak rating.
For example, Sarah Chiang’s peak rating appears to be 1636. In which case she would make the team without an exception. The rating listed, 1584 is her published October rating.
Is the criteria to make the team published October rating or the PEAK rating that you had previously advertized?
Thank you.
The rule is they can make it by having peak ratings above the required rating anytime from October 2005 or reach the required ratings by October 2006.
This program will elevate girl’s chess in the US. Kudos to Susan!
SPECIAL All-Star Training sessions – when and were it will be?
In addition, any girl who is within 100 points from the above criteria can apply for special exemptions to attend this exclusive training program. It will not be an easy task for girls to qualify for the Susan Polgar All-Stars Girl’s Chess Team. According to the statement above. Eve missed the team by 1 point and Abby missed the team by 2 points.
Zhurbinskiy, Eve 10 NJ USA 1599 (within 100 pts)
Marshall, Abby 15 VA USA 2048 (within 100 pts)
If you advertise on your website what the criteria should be to make the team, then everyone should be within those numbers. You have 2 people outside those mumbers listed on the team. Maybe this was a mistake to have the names listed.
To the anonymous, published the previous post:
Eve Zhurbinskiy pick rating was 1601 as of October 9, 2005 – the event counted for December 2005 supplement, so it was in the range of October 05 – October 06.
To anonymous:
Every girl on this list deserves to be there. Eve made the criteria set forth by me. Abby Marshall won back to back SP National Invitational for Girls. Please do not demean these young talented ladies.
If other girls would like to apply for special exemptions, they are welcome to do so. Thanks for your concern.
Best wishes,
Susan Polgar

But didn’t you say that in order to apply for special excemptions you have to be within 100 points.
(Not within 102) points.
Don’t worry about this anonymous troll. Thanks for all you do for chess.
Susan,
When I told my daughter she was enlisted in the SP All-Star Chess Team, she was very excited and asked when you would give the trainning lessons.
Thanks for the great idea and all you have done for the girls.
