I have been to over 50 countries in the world and I have seen some of the most spectacular places. But Carlsbad Caverns has to rank right up there. I was so impressed that I visited again this morning. If you are in New Mexico and near this area, it is a must see natural wonder.
The picture above is the natural entrance to the cave. It was taken by my husband with the Canon 40D and the Sigma 24-70 mm f/2.8 EX DF lens (no flash and no tripod). We were standing about 150 feet below the entrance and you can actually see the fog near the opening in this picture.
