As of November 1, 2009, Topalov is expected to remain at the #1 spot, 9 points ahead of Magnus Carlsen. Anand is expected to be in 3rd place, 13 points behind Carlsen. Aronian is expected to be in 4th place, just 2 points behind Anand. A lot of things can change fast at the Tal Memorial as Carlsen, Anand, Aronian, and Kramnik will face each other.

Anand will be World Champion at the end of 2009 and that is all it really matters.
