Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
I think this draw is good for Kamsky. In the next game he’ll have the White pieces. He defended well. GM Kamsky (and GM Shirov) have really shown that they are great chess GM’s. This has been a terrific tournament. All the players deserve a compliment.
OK…I’ve got to say it…GO KAMSKY!!!!!
Go Gata!
shirov does not aim for draws with black pieces. He had several black wins with black.
Therefore, … go Shirov !
I enjoy these games like little works of art. Shirov or Kamsky, I don’t care. It’s just fun to watch… Rich
Pawned!
Kamsky has won two games as black at the regular time control, and one in rapids. So far the match seems even.
GM Polgar:
What does the USCF plan to do, if anything, to support Gata should he win the World Cup and gain a match with Topalov? It was absurd that during his last candidates’ matches versus Bacrot and Gelfand that he didn’t even have a second!
Who says he wanted one? Did he ask for it?
