The Tri-State Scholastic Chess Challenge started today at the prestigious NY Athletic Club. More than 60 young boys and girls from NY, NJ and CT are competing in this event. Among the participants include several National and State Scholastic Champions.
The tournament is sponsored by the Susan Polgar Foundation, hosted by the NYAC and supported by NY Governor George Pataki. The Governor is also the Honorary Chairperson of the organizing committee.
