Tonight is the start of the 2009 Susan Polgar National Open for Girls and Boys. It is being held at the beautiful city of Peoria, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix.
The first 3 events are the Puzzle Solving, Bughouse and Simul. Tomorrow will be the Main Event and Blitz Championship.
Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Awesome! Looking forward to this weekend.
I was present at the puzzle solving contest as Susan was so disgracefully served.
Is the USCF to say that they were unable to serve her at work or at home? Everyone knows where she works!
This is just another example of sleazy USCF politics at play.
I hope the manner of service is brought up during the Texas defamation lawsuit.
The guy made a scene of it in front of many children, parents and coaches. Her husband wasn’t even there but he threw his package in the middle of the floor in front of everyone anyway.
The USCF, the EB majority and their lawyers purposely try to do this at many of her events and they also purposely tried to sabotage this tournament.
Anon – 9:04am
Why didn’t the USCF serve her at the SPICE office where she’s at 4 days a week? Or at home?
Why should an attorney accept service of yet another baseless lawsuit by the USCF.
When the endgame is played you shall all see the level of sleaze by those board members suing her.
……Also, use another word besides ‘sleaze’ in your anons!
Little men always get their comeuppance.
WOW! Wonderful event the kids are sure to have a great time ! hehe
They served her Oct 24, 2008 when she was in Fresno right before “The Delphis Software Chess Expo with Susan Polgar” began. Fresno Chess Club members were none to happy to learn of this throughout the night.
The USCF is trying hard to destroy her name and business. Hope she’ll after all of them.
Bill Goichberg is the worst of the worst politicians. I hope he is destroyed in the upcoming election. No one should vote for him and his dirty little followers. I will not use the word sleaze because it is too good for him.
I will pledge to work to defeat Goichberg and his puppets this election.
Everyone who plays chess loves Susan Polgar.
As a life member of USCF since 1982, I support Susan Polgar as the best person since I have been a member. I hope the corrupt politicians are thrown out of the USCF PERMANENTLY. Good Riddance.
