I am not sure who will find the solution in 30 seconds. I took around 5 minutes.
1… Qd7, with the threat 2…Qd3+ and checkmate next move.
Both 2. Qg6 Bxg2+ 3. Qxg2 Qxf7+ or 2. Qg3 Qxf7+ 3. Qf3 Rf2+ mates on the 4th move.
Of course, 2. Rxd7 will be met by 2…Rf2#
I will play Rxb2
Qd7 looks good.
I would play ….Rxb2
… Qxg2
Qxg2,Bxg2#
Takes me more than 30 second just to figure out where everything is on the board, but Qg2 is a mate on the next move.
Qxg2 doesn’t work
The bishop is pinned!
I think this a problem in the position. Perhaps the K needs to be at a8
Qg2 is not a mate on the next move because the bishop is simply pinned, so White just captures the queen. I think 1…Qd7 is the move.
It took me 2 seconds or less- Qg2 was the first thing I looked at!
Qd7 is it.
Qxg2 doesn’t work as the Black Bishop is pinned!
How is Qxg2 mate?
Bishop is pinned!
There’s no mate on g2 because the bishop on b7 is pinned. I also think Qd7 is the right continuation.
