to go after the black queen with Ne1 I would say …
at a first glance i thought – ah – an other easy one – the black queen is trapped after
1.bf2 qg5 (attempts like 1… nxe4 or 1…nxg4+ are simply desparation)
2.f4
but the position after 2…nxg4+!?
3.hxg qxg4 gives black attack on the white fields (and a weak e4 pawn by attempts like 4…f5 or d5)against a rather nude white king … and i did not like it. Thus, 2.f4 needs to be marked ?! instead of !.
obviously the position is not that simple …
it would be much better, if the black fielded bishop of white would control g5 and the white queen the field h4 and not vice versa – then i remebered the switchback motif …
here is my suggestion:
1.bf2 qg5
2.qe1! (threatening both: 3.be3 AND 3.bh4)
2… nxg4+ (black needs to sacrifice the night to rescue the queen)
3.fxg (but white can take back with the pawn on f3)
3…qe7
and white has a winning position – if i’m right …

1.Nf4, threatening 2.Ng2. If Black answers this by 1…Qg5, then 2.Nxe6 wins a pawn and the Exchange. If 1…Nxg4+, then 2.fxg4 Qe7, when White has won a piece for a pawn.
But
1. Nf4 Qg5?
2. Nxe6??
would lose to
2. … Qe5+
3. Nf4
3. Bf4 Qxe6 -+
3. … g5
wouldn’t it?
White could try
1. Nf4 Qg5?
2.Nd5
and maybe 2. … Nxe4 3. fxe4 Qe5+ and 4. … Qxe4
But
1. Nf4 Nd7
preparing … Qe7 looks OK.
1.Nf4 does not secure the advantage, as 1…Ng8 and the black Q runs away.
I like vohaul’s elegant solution of 1.Bf2 Qg5 2.Qe1! myself, although I don’t think much of Black’s counterattacking possibilities after 2.f4 Nxg4+ 3hxg4 and white plays Qg2 or some such to shut down the attack.
What’s wrong with simply 1. g5?
1… hxg5 2. Bxg5 traps the queen

after
1.g5 hxg5
2.Bxg5 Qh5
the queen is not trapped, because 3.Nf4? loses the bishop by 3…Qxg5

My idea is 1. Bg5 hxg5 and 2. Ne1, and I see no way that Black can save the Queen
ehhh … and what about the field h6?
1.bg5? hxg5
2.ne1? bxe4!
3.ng2? nxg4+! and black is winning …
an other interesting possibility – for the faint hearted might be:
1.bg5 qxg5 and thx for the bishop …
