BURLINGTON — Chess enthusiasts ranging in age from kindergarteners to a few people in their 60s gathered in the Lewis S. Mills High School cafeteria on Saturday morning for the 2013 Community Chess Tournament, sponsored by the Make a Mark Enrichment Fund.

The third annual inter-generational event attracted more than 110 players from Burlington, Harwinton, and beyond.

“It’s not just Region 10. We open it up to anybody. The coolest thing is the age difference,” said Tania McNaboe, who organized the tournament with fund Chairman Dwight Harris.
