After some mediocre results, Ivanchuk is back on track by winning Bazna by a full point. In the July 2009 FIDE rating list, Topalov will remain at #1, followed by Anand, Kramnik, Carlsen and Aronian.

With the recent success by Nakamura and not so hot results by Kamsky, he is very close to taking over the #1 U.S. ranking on the FIDE chart. Alex Onischuk is also very close to breaking 2700. The top 3 U.S. players may be within 15-20 points from each other.
