It was a tragic day for America.
It was also a tragic day for the world.
It demonstrated, for the world to see, that Evil is alive and kicking and that Good must never mean complacency.
It is the tragedy which will define this generation, much like the violent reality of totalitarianism defined my grandparents’ generation’s identity in the 1940s.
Until there radical global political changes take place, the tragedy will press on our hearts as unhealed.
