Wanting to prove to the world that he still remembers how the little horsies move, Gata Kamsky defeated the young prodigy Magnus Carlsen in the 2nd game of their match yesterday to even up the score and avoided elimination. Earlier today, Gata then went on to win both his playoff games to finish 9th in the World Cup.

Congrats to Gata Kamsky for the wonderful results. I know he expected more of himself but this is excellent for such little preparation. I fully expect him to do even better in Corus in 2006. Posted by Picasa
