Rxh5 forces mate either by gxh Qg7 mate or Kg8 then Rh8+ forces Kxg8 then Qh6+ then Qg7 mate.
A quickie.
1. Rxh5+ Kg8 (1. … gxh5 2. Qg7#)
2. Rh8+ Kxh8
3. Qh6+ Kg8
4. Qg7#
Think I’ll show this one to the kids at the very first meeting of our brand new chess club tomorrow (assuming the boards arrive as promised).

If after 1. Rxh5 black plays gxh5, then white wins immediately with Qg7+.

1- Rxh5 Kg8 2 – Rh8 Kxh8 3 Qh6 1-0
The last puzzles often were quite tricky, this is quite easy:
White is totally lost if he could not give a mate in four. Fortunately he can.
1. Rxh5+ Kg8 (1. gxh5, 2. Qg7 mate)
2. Rh8+ Kxh8
3. Qh6+ Kg8
4. Qg7 mate
1. Rxh5+!

It’s easy but I love it!
1. Rxh5+ Kg8 ( 1..gxh5 2. Qg7#)
2. Rh8+ Kxh8
3. Qh6+ Kg8
4. Qg7#
Hope I got it right.
Did not use a board either! Are
2 points going to be added to my success chart?
Mate on g7 sounds so enticing. One can note that after Rxh5 Kg8, Rh8+ it is all over for black.
1)Rxh5+ Kg8 2)Rh8+ Kxh8 3)Qh6+ Kg8 4)Qg7 mate
It works like this:
1. Rxh5+ Kg8
2. Rh8+ Kxh8
3. Qh6+ Kg8
4. Qg7#
if 1. … gxh5
2. Qg7#
greets, jan
Rxh5+ 1-0
Rxh5! Kg8 Rh8 and Qh6 and mate follows.
