Susan:
Prepare for the event. Don’t waste your time blogging.
Well, if Susan isn’t prepared now, I doubt that anything she could do in the next 36 hours would change that. But I would guess that she is prepared.
That is one weird shaped knight.
Is it USCF rated?
dress codes, “no smokin” – not even if leaving tournament area and other silly restrictions – made me quit my tournamant chess “career” – 20 years ago.
obviously nothing ever changes …
i’ll put on my sneakers, burn my cigarette, turn on my internet and watch the “well dressed, tied gentle giants” breaking the holy glass but never the directives – ridiculous!
in ancient times, chess was the game of the kings (and not long ago it was forbidden to play chess in iran!)
– i’m not a king – i’m simply a chess amateur – but imagine: e.g a Magnus Carlson, with a jacket and a tie in front of a chess board – or an Alekhine without his cat … or a Tal without his cigarette…
way to go old scum – Vohaul – time passes – and somwhere down the road chess players will be forced to wear football shirts and will play inspiring chess-games, anyhow!
that’s what i call: professionalism!
