Daniel Naroditsky, a sixth-grader from San Mateo who is the 12-and-under world chess champion, played A’s relievers Andrew Brown and Huston Street simultaneously and beat both with ease, beating Brown six times and Street four times in less than half an hour.

With Chad Gaudin, Alan Embree and Huston Street combining on a six hit shutout, the new A’s star pitcher relaxed in the dugout and did not have to take off his jacket.
