Susan, that’s Round 4 ! I think Mamedyarov will win this ! Go MAMEDYAROV !!!!
Melody
I think it was a bad idea for Kamsky and Adams to play in this tournament as its date was very close to Elista qualification tournament. They are not supposed to show their opening preperation in this tournament, and in modern chess opening preparation is a very important part of chess. Most games are won by home preparation. One might argue that Aronian played a rapid match against Kramnik recently, but rapid games are so much different than classical time control. If Aronian had played the opening in game 5 with classical time controls, he would simply be cooked. Some people are very happy to claim that Kramnik’s days are “numbered” after his defeat in the rapid against Aronian. I simply don’ subscribe to that point of view for two reasons : Kramnik was tired (had just played another match agains Leko) and not as well prepared as Aronian.
I believe they both are fighters and have the ability to come roaring back! I hope they do. I am rooting for Gata Kamsky to win tournament but he faces an uphill battle.
I’d love to see Adams to loose with white today. Not just becouse of Gata.
My predictions:
Mamedyarov 1-0 Nisipeanu
Kamsky 1/2 1/2 Adams
Sasikiran 1/2 1/2 Topalov
