e6
Yes, that is the right move if I’m right.
1. e6 fxe (if Queen moves Qxf7 and it is more or less the same as the following)
2. dxe Qe7 (what else ?)
3. Qxf7+ Qxf7
4. exf7+ Kxf7
5. Ng5+ Kf6
6. RxR b2
7 Re6+ Kf5
8. f3 b1Q
9. g4+ Kf4
10. Nh3#
6. … Bc4 doesn’t help.
7. RxBh8 b2
8. Rf8+ Ke5
9. Bg7+ and capturing the pawn on b2
1. e6 fxe (if Queen moves Qxf7 and it is more or less the same as the following)
2. dxe Qe7 (what else ?)
3. Qxf7+ Qxf7
4. exf7+ Kxf7
5. Ng5+ Kf6
6. RxR b2
7 Re6+ Kf5
8. f3 b1Q
8…Bf1+ looks much tougher here.
Great move 8. … Bf1+ !
But won’t help !
8. … Bf1
9. Kh2 b1Q
10. g4+ Kf4
11. Re4#
or
8. … Bf1
9. Kh2 Be5 (to prevent g4)
10. RxB+ KxB
11. Bg7+ and capture b2
8. … Bf1
9. Kh2 b1Q
10. g4+ Kf4
11. Re4#
Not mate. In fact 11…Qxe4 wins for Black!
Hm…seems to me I made some bad mistakes. I’m sorry.
10. Ne4+ Kxf3
11. Nd2+ Kxg4
12. NxQb1 Kxh4
So white has a Rook for 3 Pawns and f.e. after Re7 can capture h7 in near future.
This is good, but is it really the best out the initial position ? I’m doubtful ! Hope someone has a better idea.
Hm…seems to me I made some bad mistakes.
I know just how you feel — I did that once 😉
I’m sorry.
No apology necessary. You’re among friends.
10. Ne4+ Kxf3
11. Nd2+ Kxg4
12. NxQb1 Kxh4
One of us has the position wrong. In my setup after 10.Ne4 (which isn’t a check) Black’s king is still only on f5, so “Kxf3” isn’t possible.
The main line we’ve looked at so far:
1.e6 fxe6
2.dxe6 Qa7 (b7, e7 — I don’t see that it matters)
3.Qf7+ Qxf7
4.exf7+ Kxf7
5.Ng5+ Kf6
6.Rxe8 b2 (maybe 6…Bb7+ would be better, avoiding a Rook fork with check on the sixth rank)
… all looks right to me. Now, 7.Ne4+ or 7.f3 might lead to a whiz-bang finish (I’m too lazy to work it out), but how about just the simpleminded 7.Re1, keeping the b-pawn under control? White’s got a big material advantage and no problems of consolidation (that I can see).
Yes, it is
10. g4+ Kf4
11. Ne4+ Kxf3
12. Nd2+ Kxg4
13. NxQb1 Kxh4
I’ll evaluate that if I have a board.
If I had that position over the board, I would indeed consider 7.Re1 and that would be enough.
As I’m just a beginner it is really, really difficult to me to evaluate that all without a board and short on time. Nevertheless next time I’ll do a better job. But many thanks for all the corrections, you can’t improve if you think you have a correct solution und indeed you don’t !!
Yes, it is
10. g4+ Kf4
These two moves weren’t in your earlier post.
11. Ne4+ Kxf3
12. Nd2+ Kxg4
13. NxQb1
Nice analysis! This looks pretty good for White.
