In case somebody missed that, GM Sergei Shipov is the same GM Shipov that comments on all important chess events live on chesspro.ru, and whose commentary is widely discussed on chessgames.com, on Mig’s blog, and elsewhere on the Net.
Currently, GM Shipov has 3.5 points out of 4 rounds. Today he was struggling valiantly with the Black pieces against the much higher-rated GM Krasenkow and was close to victory! However GM Krasenkow escaped with a draw.
Magnus Carlsen is 4.0 out of 4 rounds and is leading the event. Which is no surprise of course.
