Karpov opening chess school in Prague

Ex-world chess champion Anatoly Karpov today will open a children’s chess school named after him in Prague. Besides advising local chess players and keeping an eye on their training, Karpov will also hold competitions for young players from around the world.

In January the 12th world chess champion took part in a chess competition in Lidice winning 24 of 26 games and tying two.
