I think White wins by 1 Rd8+ Rxd8 2 bxc7. Then Black must keep the rook on the 8th rank, and White will play Rd1 and Rd8.
I agree with you chuckles; you beat me to it by a few minutes so one more loss on time for me. LOL
I agree 1 Rd8+ with the idea of Rhd8-d1+ checks. I had a slight problem figuring out what to do till i looked for how to make use of the back rank threat…
I saw this one in less than 5 seconds, why? Because I am practicing tactics at this site: http://chess.emrald.net/index.php
heee???? white to move ??? i’d simply take that damnmed old rook with my pawn…
1.bxc … and then? please tell me one satisfying move for black … no checks, no nothing, simply loosing a rook … having a passer pawn and a mate in front of his eyes … i’d surrender …
confused, anonym
ok ok – i was blinded by light … there is a pawn on c5 – please forget my silly commentary …
*unhappy … me – anonym
Must be the sun! You need those shades 🙂
