There is a very interesting point about the Olympiad. Some people raised the issue that how come the US Men’s Team is tied for 4th even though the team is 6-0?
There are a few teams with perfect match records so far:
Women’s side -> Ukraine 6-0 (2nd)
Men’s side -> Belarus 6-0 (3rd), USA 6-0 (tie for 4th)
However, none of these teams are in 1st place. Why? Because match scores do not matter. A team can go 13-0 or 14-0 and still finish out of medal if every win is 2.5-1.5 or 2-1. This is why I mentioned before that strongest line ups must used as often as possible. Every half point counts! The US Women’s Team had the best overall match score in 2004 but only got the Silver because China had the best overall points.
“The US Women’s Team had the best overall match score in 2004”
Yes, and you didn’t even win anyone 3-0 in 14 rounds! Very interesting.
If every half point is so important Susan shouldn’t give away 7 draws to weaker players.
You’re an idiot troll. No one wins every game. She had the best performance in the entire women’s Olympiad. Morons like you make chess players look bad.
“Morons like you make chess players look bad.”
Don’t worry, no one reads seriously people who post such stuff. He is just another jealous human being.
Susan you mentioned before that Sofia is the artist in the family. My questions are these. Does she have just a series of clown drawings and she does other subjects? Or is that the only
subject she chose to draw period. The famous American comedian Red Skeleton painted only clowns. And does Sophie use other medium in her art such as acryllic, water color, or oil paint? Does she do any sculpture? I am very interested to see your sisters art. For a time she performed art on the chess board ; )

To play with good comrades, to give it your best effort, to know, win or lose, that your teammates shared in your great struggle…
