I think 1. Rh6+.
1.. Kxh6 2. Qxf7 and 3. Rh3
1.. Kg7 2. Rh7+ Kxh7 3. Qxf7+ Kh6/8 4. Rh3
or 2.. Kg6 3. Qxf7
agree….nice going chuckles…I was a little slower…but thats what I came up with too. Nice going…kept looking at that g4 pawn and the e6 square///and even qxq as after re8 is a winning position..
this was a tough one.

Chuckles, I think your combination has a problem. For instance,
1. Rh6+ Kxh6 2. Qxf7 Qf8 3. Rh3+ Qh6 (Not winning)
Also Rh8 SEEMS to work if Black plays inaccurately. For instance,
1.Rh8 Kg7 2.Rh7+ Kxh7 3.Qxf7+ Kh6(Kh8) 4.Rh3 1-0
1.Rh8 Kg7 2.Rh7+ Kg6 3.Qxf7 1-0
1.Rh8 QxQe8 2.RxQe8 Ne8 3.Rxc8 Kg7 4.Rxe8 Kg6 5.Rg8 1-0
But FAILS if Black plays like this:
1.Rh8 QxQe8 2.RxQe8 f6 (Not winning)
However, your suggestion Rh6+ works if White attackes precisely as given here:
1. Rh6+ Kxh6 2. Qxf7 Qf8 3. Qh5+ Kg7 4. Rh3 Qh8 (f5) 5. Qxh8 (Qh6) 1-0

Nice problem, Susan. I have a suggestion though: If only you would give a solution at the end of each day, then this site can keep the chess fans even more actively engaged in posting answers and can get some instructive lessons too. Thanks.
Never mind, Chuckles……..am SORRY. your combination is in deed right. There was a ‘typo’ in my brain! 🙂

1. Rh6+ Kxh6 2. Qxf7 Qf8 3. Rh3+ Qh6 (Not winning)
However, your suggestion Rh6+ works if White attackes precisely as given here:

In the first line 3Rh3 is mate so there is no move Qh6
in the bottom line again 3Rh3 is mate.
