Greetings everyone! I finally arrived in Dresden! The city has changed a lot since I was last here. Even the airport is new. On my flight is the representive from Mexico. The rest of the players are expected by tomorrow morning / afternoon.
There will be a big opening ceremony tomorrow night at a beautiful castle near the city. The day after is the start of all the big battles! I will try to update you with pictures, news and scores as soon as I can so stay tune 🙂

That’s great! My how technology has changed…we might get to enjoy some “same day” updates from you, whereas it wasn’t many years ago that the best we could hope for was to read a published chess journal/magazine article MONTHS after the event!
