I will do game 11 LIVE commentary at 10 am (NY time), 9 am (Texas time).
Anand is leading 6 – 4 after 10 games. He needs just 1/2 point to retain his title and will have White in game 11.
What is your game 11 prediction? Is there another big comeback in Kramnik’s horizon or will it be all over after this game?
Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
My prediction is that Kramnik will be able to score one full point with black pieces, thus winning the game. Anand will at one point claim three-fold position repetition, but his claim will be overruled by the arbiter. He will then appeal to the Appeals Committee, which will declare the game to be played again. Kramnik will be successful again. Ultimately, game 12 will decide.
I do hope someone will compensate your daily hard work in commenting the games and at least send you an anonymous cheque.
I predict a draw.
Draw!
1.g4
kramnik will go for a win n might lose…
I hope Kramnik will be back winning this 11th game
Thanks a lot Susan for your great live commentary.

Anand will win today and claim the championship. This will be due to kramnik in time pressure, and he blunders just like he loss to fritz with a back rank mate.
If you look at kramnik’s matches, he has a habit of coming back in the last games – so I’m not surprised by his last two games.
Said this, I still find it difficult to see Kramnik win two games out of two; but then again Kramnik has the momentum.
I say 1.e4 or 1.c4 to mix things up.
It’s absolutely impossible to make a prediction on a single game!
Kramnik has never won with black against Anand
(In classical chess format)
So going by the records/history it will be either draw/win for white …
Anand will retain the title
Well, Anand is bound to lose in white piece to Kramnik.
It is long overdue.
I hope the match continues to game 12.
It will be a draw, Kramnik’s luck will run out. In less than 40 moves too, unless Kramnik plays on just as he can’t accept the result.
hard to see Anand lose back to back. For Kramnik it wil be ‘too little, too late…’
Susan, you’re inspiration, thnxs for great contribution to chess.
Arbër
Just for a record:
Kramnik has never beaten Anand with
black.NEVER!
If he tries that (what he MUST),he will be lost in game 11.
Therefore,it will be win for Anand,or perhaps draw if he is in a mercy mood.
🙂
I think we should understand that Susan is blogging ‘for the good of chess’, and not insult her by sending money.
She probably doesn’t need it.
I will surely miss Susan’s great commentary on the games if Kramnik will not win today. Playing with black, I give Kramnik little chance.
It’s not the same whether a world champion or an ex world champion will come to Hungary. So go go Anand!
Krawnik will be Drawnik. 33 moves max.
Will never get to play again for WC.
hope we can see game 12.
Both Kramnik and Anand will be under sever pressure for this game. Anand will not want to take this to the last game and Kramnik will want to do that. Both players will be playing for a win is my Guess. But the result could well be a draw! Chances are that this will be a complex game with some novelties and unorthodox moves. Time left on the clock is sure to be a consideration. Also I expect this game to be less than clinical from both sides – unless anand or kramnik go into some planned novelty early in the game and run away with it. The game will be decided on who errs is my feeling. The record is against Kramnik when he plays with black, but if game 9 is any indication, this is only a matter of curiosity and should not affect the game. In fact it can only make Anand overconfident, if he counts on this. The pressure will be significantly higher on Anand as he has a lot to lose. Kramnik will fight with tooth and nail if required. This is THE Game!
I agree with Ramesh. Pressure on both; this is the game.

Kramnik will play for a win at any cost for he has to only win!I feel 1.d4 for sure!
Anand is definitely under pressure after the loss and now he must be calm and play his usual best to retain the crown!
I feel this 11th game ends the match in favour of Anand.
1.f3 and then 2.Kf2, in order to mix things up 😛
More than Kramnik, I would say that Anand is the one under pressure. The last three games have been mostly Kramnik’s and also he has nothing to lose right now and everything to gain.
If Anand slips up here today, he will be under unbelievable pressure in tomorrow’s final game. If Kramnik can pull a win here, I would put money on him getting Game 12 too!
These are my $0.02.
(For the record, I think Anand will clinch it today though!)
(P.S.: Funny story — the word verification right now stands at “sches”. Nice eh?)
Win or lost depends on who is going to launch the novelty first.
I assume 1.e4 and Scottish
I do not know if Kramnik wins this 11th game, but if he does then I know he will win the 12th game also…
Wait, so what match is being ‘shown’ right now on:
