qc4
Qc4 wins it, I think. She’s got the check on h4, plus the threat of capturing the rook outright.
Qe7 is better.
Qe7 is better.
1.. Qf6?
2. Qb4 and 3. Qb3+ and the White queen transfers to h3 to block the attack
I can see 1… QC4 2. Rxf2 (forced for mate threat) Qxh4+ 3. Kg1 Rc1+ 4. Rf1 Qd4+ 5. Kh2 Rxf1 6. Qa1+
which is a rook up, but I am unable to see whether black can escape the checks without losing the rook to a fork at some point.
Sorry, 6. Qa8+ in the previous. Digging up a real board =), after 6. … Kh7 7. Qb7+ Qg7 the checks are at an end at least, and black should win.
i agree with the commentator right above. furthermore black can escape fork and checks with 6. … Kh7 7. Qb7+ Qg7… peace and love susan
