This Vietnamese kid’s performance just goes to show how bloody over-rated our so-called SUPER-Grandmasters are. See how many of them are below Quang Liem on the table.
Being over 2700 is one thing. Actually playing the chess to back it up is something else.
I thought Kramnik would be winning this tournament by now. He doesn’t seem at his best. That said I could never say anything really harsh about him, I’ve got too much respect for him. He’s the real deal. As for Leko, I don’t get why he’s rated so highly? He’s got such a high draw percentage.
