The Boys built a Giant Castle. The Girls built a Castle for the King with a roof over the top, and a pair of Knights in the front to protect the King. They also built a Queen on a Queen Mobile to demonstrate her powerful mobility.
The Girls took on the Boys in LEGO Chess Building. Each team has 30 minutes (to work as a team) to create clever chess designs using only LEGO pieces and their personal creativity.
They were judged on 3 areas:
1. Team Work
2. Design
3. Creativity
The 3 judges
The judges awarded a full point to the Girls for Team Work. They awarded a full point to the Boys for Design. Then the judges awarded the tie-breaking point to the Girls for Creativity. The Girls won by a 2-1 score.
