The tournament was 1953 Bucharest (Romania) and was one of the first foreign tournaments to have several Russian participants.
Pictured (from left to right) are Isaac Boleslavsky, Vasily Smyslov, Tigran Petrosian, Alexander Tolush, and Boris Spassky.
Tolush gained the title of international grandmaster at this tournament and his pupil (Spassky) became an international master.
Also the site of Spassky’s first encounter with Smyslov, of which Spassky won as follows:
