1. Bxe6+ Kh8 (1…Qxe6 may already be neccesary)
2. Bxg7+! Kxg7
3. Rf7+ Kh6!?(3…Kh7 4.Rf7+ as pointed out above)
4. Ref1!!(With the idea of R1f5
4…Qxe6
(4…Rf8 5.R1f5 Rxf7 6. Qh5+ Kg7 7.Rxf7+; 4…Nf4 5.Qg7+ Kh5 6. Bg4+ Kh4 7.Kh2! and g3 or Qh6 should mate)
5. Qxe6. and Black can resist for a little while but would be futile in the end.

im having problems with my posting. anyways heres my shot at solving this problem.
Saw this as far as split at 3… Kh8 or 3… Kh6. The finish for Kh8 looks OK (see previous posts), but I wonder about the 2nd anons line for Kh6. After 4. Ref1, what about Bxe4?! for black? This seems to spoil the party, since QxBe4 leads to QxBe6, and then if 5. Rf5 it looks to me like black should take the queen for rook swap (eg 5… QxRf7 6. RxQf7), and may survive. Let me know what I have missed!

i didn’t look at kh6, youre right but I think the way to go then is 4. Bf5 followed by 5. Rxh7+ and quick mate
pwjw: I think the right line after 1 Bxe6+ Kh8 2. Bxg7+ Kxg7 3. Rf7+ Kh6 4. Ref1 Bxe4 is 5. Rxh7+ Kxh7 6. Qh5+ Kg7 7. Rf7+ Kg8 8. Qh7#
However, what does White do after 4 … Rf8? That seems to meet the threats of R1f5 and Rxh7+.
anonymous: 4. Bf5 may be right, but I don’t see the quick mate after 5. Rxh7+, mainly because the Black Queen now defends the Ng6.

Regarding the lines with 3)…Kh6, I agree with the recommendation of the second anonymous poster for 4) Rfe1. Then, if 4)…Bxe4, white responds with the following:
5) Rxh7+ Kxh7
6) Qh5+ Kg7
7) Rf7+ Kg8
8) Qh7++

Pwjw you are right, I actually missed 4…Bxe4 but alas 5.Rxh7+ Kxh7 6.Qh5+ Kg7 7.Rf7+ still leads to mate; So I was a bit lucky there, nevertheless thanks for pointing that out.

Thanks for the great analysis everyone – I had the general theme, but could quite polish it off on the 4… Bxe4 line. And after the option 4… Rf8 suggested by GB, I think 5. R1f5 still works, since if then 5… RxRf7, 6. Qh5+ Kg7, 7. RxRf7+ Kh8 (or g8) then Qxh7#. So the party is definitely on or off depending on your interpretation of the metaphor…!
