World Chess Championship- Game 7: Magnus Carlsen and Viswanathan Anand ends in a draw

It’s the world champion vs the World No1.

Game 7 between V Anand and Magnus Carlsen ends in a draw; final score 4.5-2.5 in Carlsen’s favour.

With this draw, Anand has put a stop to the streak of losses he suffered at Carlsen’s hands. Playing white, Anand opened with e4 and Carlsen replied with e5. The game once again progressed Ruy Lopez-Berlin defence. Once again Anand was not in a position to break the ‘Berlin Wall’ of defence mounted by Carlsen. Read here

World champion Viswanathan Anand struggled once again with his white pieces and suffered a painful defeat against challenger Magnus Carlsen of Norway in the sixth game of the World Chess Championship. Read here

The world champion is seeking to steady his crown in Game 7 as the challenger seems to have succeeded in unsettling it as Magnus Carlsen managed a win in Game 5 and 6 against Viswanathan Anand.
