Is it 1. Bxe4 with 2. Rxb7 and 3. Qc8+?

I disagree. Bxe4 wins you only the quality. Qf3 wins a piece.

2.hxg3 fxg3 … and 3.rxf2 looks almost forced to me …
1.bxe4 is clearly a better choice imho

looks 5 min and can only see Be4 Qe4 Rb7! Rb7 Qc8 and Qb7,Q and rook too Q,bichop.

1. Qf3 Nd2 will get Black a rook for 2 pieces.
I believe that the Bxe4 line wins a whole piece. But more importantly, it is a completely forcing line that ends with a winning advantage. It’s easy to calculate, therefore I would play that OTB.
Bxe4 Qxe4, Qd7 seems really strong
this is a really interesting one – simple at a first glance – but really hard to deal with! things are not that easy, they look like!

(1.qf3? Ng3+! 2.hxg3 fxg3 3.rxf2 forced 3… gxf2 4.qxf2= )

with a VERY SMALL edge for white, if at all (to be honest – i’d prefer to play black here)
What Vohaul said is true, but I would still prefer to play White at the end, because Q + R cooperation is better than Q + B, and in the worst case White can force the draw easy with a perpetual…
On the other hand, if he prefers Black at the end, why is he saying that 1.Qf3? is such a bad move if gives White a draw?

2. hxg3 fxg3
basically forces white to return the exchange (3. Rxf2 gxf2 4. Qxf2)because his king is frozen in place and in grave danger.
while 2. — Bxg3 3. Qe2
leaves white up a rook for a (opposite) bishop and pawn.
In both lines white is a little better, (black’s a4 pawn is a problem and getting a rook on the open b file looks to be the best way forward), but I don’t think this is what Susan wanted us to find.

if vohaul analysis is correct, then what about 1. Rb2 Bd4 2. Re2 f5 3. Bx4e fxe4 4. Rxf4 (this is as far as I can go in my head!), with white about to grab an additional (e4) pawn after B for N exchange?
Rb2 then Ng3+ and the drawish line already talked about appears. Bxe4 is the best line
this 1.rb2 idea is very nice, but i’m afraid that it can be refuted…
