Columbia, SC (WLTX) – Charles Walter was a National Master Chess player. He was a five-time state champion. He once sat across from one of the greatest chess players ever, Bobby Fischer.
Although he does not play competitively any more, he recently held a simultaneous exhibition at Dutch Square mall in which he competed against six-to-eight players at once.
WLTX Sports Director Ari Bergeron caught Walter in action as he demonstrated his expertise chess acumen.
