I just finished by 2 day stint in Los Angeless promoting chess to the corporate world. I gave a lecture / Q&A session about Innovation and Chess to an audience of about 300, sponsored by a technology leader, specializing in defense, homeland security, and other government markets throughout the world, spanning more than 80 years, with annual sales near $22 billion.
I also gave a small 15 board simul and did a book signing session. Unfortunately, all my books were sold out immediately and some were not able to get a signed copy on site.
The most important thing is I met quite a number of few wonderful chess enthusiasts and some new fans to our game. Special thanks to the Gandhi family and everyone involved for making this event possible.
