I was chatting with the Zappa and Rybka operators an hour before their second game. I learned a lot about what goes on behind the scene. Both programs have team members from all over the world. The operator from the Rybka team is from Denmark while others are living in Budapest, Washington, DC area, etc. The Zappa operator is from Turkey living in Germany while the programmer is still in school in Illinois. But thanks to the Internet technology, they have collaborators from around the world.

Zappa operator is a Turkish man that is very nice (I am a Turk) but I don’t think Zappa has a chance against Rybka. Rybka is the best chess engine.
