Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
The biggest upset is Ivanchuk 0-1 So.
Cool! Wesley is leading over Chucky. Hope Wesley move forward to the next round.
Wisely done by Wesley!
I don’t think wesley’s upset is the biggest by rating this round. But ya Wesley will be a elite player in the near future.
Of all the upsets, the nicest and most convincing was Nyback against Svidler. Black was on the defensive throughout the game, and 34.Qh4! must have been a shocker to him.
Let’s see, in second roung there are 3 from India and 6 from China remaining…
Whaaaaaat????
What is this I see? Susan, are these results true?
So much for being a 2700+ Grandmaster huh?
Susan, how would you explain these results? Good old chess psychology, more games (of the 2700 GMs) available to the lower-ranked GMs to prepare with, anxiety of high performance expectation, or just plain rating inflation?
Susan im rooting for my lil sister to beat everybody!! haha. THE EGO CRUSHER!!! her and lil KRUSHIE-KRUSHIE! haha. Susan the Yugoslavians sent a team of Ims to Icc in the 1min pool! i beat them 18-2 hahaha. Now they are here ! help me!!! hahaha. Vishy bring me some of that chocolate ice cream from Russsia!!! hahaha. na6-c7-e6-g5! hahaha. what happened to nimzovich blockading nonsense? hahaha. Kasparov says i dont exist! hehe.
Kamsky back in 2700+ on live rating list.
Many exciting upsets. Good luck to all the underdogs!
Great show by Wesley. I wish him a great future. The Chinese juggernaut is doing well. The top Indians (ganguly & Sasi) disappoint. Hope Judith goes all the way!
