Levon Aronian vs. Anish Giri game recognized best in January
PanARMENIAN.Net – Special jury of famous chess website chesspro.ru recognized winner of Wijk aan Zee chess tournament, Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian’s one of the seven victories as the best game in January.
Game vs. Anish Giri was held in Tata Steel 10 round, during which Aronian scored a smashing victory.
“The debut, the bad game in the middle, and time pressure, all was against Giri. Meanwhile, Levon realized all his moves confidently and with no haste, presenting us a beautiful ending,” chesspro.ru quoted Russian chess grandmaster Konstantin Landa as saying.
“The fact that the game ended before the 40th move testifies to my time management,” Aronian says.
