In a 12-year cycle, each year is represented by an animal, in order: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep (or Goat), Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig (or Boar). So everybody is an animal. Which animal you are depends on your Date of Birth.
