Swiss events do not produce accurate results as reliably as do round robins. Yet again this year in Mainz Germany, we see the top finishers in the chess960 Open are generally the higher rated players in traditional “chess1” too.
Of the 5 chess960 players rated over 2700, 4 of them finished in the top 5.
Plus, in the Mainz Chess960 Championship match, the number 3 & 4 chess players on the planet are battling each other.
This all shows again that chess960 and chess1 are both just chess.
