National Geographic in India has pulled out all their resources to promote the National Geographic documentary “My Brilliant Brain“. I am amazed of how popular it is here. CNN India aired 3 times about the show. There are billboards all over, including in a major coffee house chain (similar to Starbucks). Countless media sources cover this event.
I also gave countless interviews to media worldwide about this documentary, except for the U.S. since it is not aired in this country yet. Hopefully soon!!
I wish things can be like this in the US. At least that is what I am trying my best to create the same excitement for chess in America, in spite of very tough road blocks from many directions by the long time chess establishments.
I must say that I met MANY nice and wonderful people here in India. The hospitality has been great (in spite of the fact that I still have not gotten my luggage yet). Overall, it has been a fantastic experience!
Hi Susan,
This is Sushruta Reddy – one of the two people whom you drew against in the Exhibition Match at Bangalore.
I really enjoyed playing against you yesterday (Nov 28) and matter of fact, wanted to apologize to you for two reasons:
# 1 Offering a draw
# 2 For saying, “Well Played”
When I went home last night, I somehow was not feeling good of what I said and now thanks to my friend Niranjan, I found your blog:-).
So when do you think you are in India next?
This is amazing! You’re the most prolific promoter of chess today!
