Today is the second day of the Susan Polgar All-Star Training at the prestigious New York Athletic Club. The girls were treated to a very special guest trainer, my 2004 Olympiad teammate and former Ukrainian / US Women’s Champion IM Anna Zatonskih. Anna also brought along her new born daughter and fiance GM Daniel Fridman.
Most of these young ladies will head to Cherry Hill this weekend to compete in the 2007 Susan Polgar National Invitational for Girls. I will post some pictures of the training tomorrow. This is the first annual Susan Polgar All-Star Training and I hope this event will help change the next generation of young female players in this country.

So now we know why GM Daniel Fridman happened to be at the Womens US Championship to help with analysis of games.
Contgratulations to both. I wish you both a very happy and long marriage. Anna is one of my special people that I always cheer to win.
Susan, you are terrific. All the women in America need to stick close to you. Like they say. Stick with the winners. Susan is a winner.
