9th Cap d’Agde Chess Meeting
Two groups of eight players start off with round robin tournaments

The 9th chess meeting in Cap d’Agde opened Saturday and continues until the 31st October. Two groups of eight players first compete in the respective round robin tournaments. Saturday 23rd October to Tuesday 26th October is reserved for the first stage, with Wednesday 27th devoted to possible tiebreaks.

Top four finishers in each group qualify for the knockout finals. The knockout matches are played from Thursday, October 28th to Sunday, October 31st, 2010. The time control is 25 minutes + 10 seconds / move per player. All games will be relayed live with computer analysis on Chessdom / Chessbomb platform.

Cap d’Agde is one of the largest leisure ports on the French Mediterranean. Development as a tourist resort started in the 1970s before which time the only buildings at the Cap were small houses typically used for weekends by local people.
