This is the strongest Swiss tournament in the world each year. This year, Aeroflot Open takes place from February 7 – 17 in Moscow, Russia. I have not counted the official numbers but there are probably around 150+ grandmasters competing for a total prize funds of $175,000, about 1/3 of HB Global Challenge. Even with $500,000, HB Global could not come close to Aeroflot.

you can watch games live for free on either playchess.com or ICC where you need a free 2 week membership to watch live. but you do not need membership to watch live on playchess.com
you should set up early and download the software and be ready. the games start at 7 am NYC time.
if you are on their web site and the page does not come up. I recommend you hit the Refresh button on your browser. it works for me. the page usually then comes up.
