The 100th British Chess Championships took place from 29th July to 10th August, 2013, at the Riviera International Centre, Torquay, England.
GM David Howell secured the title with a round to spare and finally concluded the event with 9,5/11 points, full point and a half ahead of Grandmasters Gawain Jones, Mark Hebden and Stephen Gordon.
