Koneru Humpy !!!
Rooting for Humpy.
Judit is the strongest woman player but won’t compete.
Tatiana is my favorite but Nana will be a danger.
Where is Nadezhda?!
What is the story with the blank parts of the list (Americas, Asia/Oceania)? Are those wildcard spots yet to be filled?
Judit won’t participate so you can cross her off and take the next one from the rating list.
This post is confusing or outdated. We already know that 5 grand prix have taken place and the winner plays the current world champion.
And from the current status http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIDE_Womens_Grand_Prix_2009/2010
only Hou Yifan, Nana Dz… or Humpy can qualify.
So which version is correct when FIDE just published what Susan posted only yesterday? So did they change the format to protect Kosteniuk again as part of some back room deals?
Harish they so far behind that it really doesnt matter, they just practincing what UM showin them not what I KNOW!!! go to chessbomb and they go robots practing the old stuff too! its really funny, Harish dunno why India into concealment but its may cost them the world championship. UM not maurice ya know! Its nice vishy used the T-board horse idea but to suggest that he is the brains behind it with a math doctorateis assinine at best.
I updated wikpedia to reflect the correct fact.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIDE_Women%27s_Grand_Prix_2009/2010
Womens Wch is annual event. Year 2010 is determined through knock out format (turkey 2-25 dec). The challenger for 2011 is determined through grand prix (of which 5 is completed).
How it would be beautiful if Judit participated!
Why should she? She can beat Kosteniuk in a simul. She should never lower her standard.
Yes Judit should never lower her standard. Infact I support fully her competing in open tournaments againts men. I’m even convicted she’s a potential world champion in the men championship.
But why not to compete in the women world championship and demonstrate who’s the true queen of chess?
You sound like a moron. Why don’t you ask Carlsen to play in the world junior championship and see who’s the best kid. Sounds stupid, isn’t it? Judit proved herself by being #1 for 24 years. Kosteniuk isn’t even in the top 10 after the Olympiad. What’s to prove? The rest of the women should prove by getting to 2700. Moron!
anon 4:10, I’m sure Judit is eager to play in an inferior tournament to her standard with Kosteniuk just to prove to you. Who the hell are you? I’m sure if you put up $1 million purse, all the Polgar sisters will compete. But for peanuts as it is now, why? If Kosteniuk wants a shot, she can pay to play Judit in a simul.
I don’t need any proof, Judit is the best for me and to play there it would be like playing against children!
Ok I apologyze for having expressed something stupid!
I’m the troll patrol and I approve the previous anonymous post.
Judit is still the best, but the gap is closing quickly. With the random two game matches, you have to be good for sure but you also need a little luck.
Judit Polgar, if she decides to take part, is going to dominate and annihilate all of them on the board! Yes, all of them! Too bad she won’t compete. She should do it just once. And Koneru Humpy, the second highest rated after Judit, has been known to falter and choke when it matters the most.
