FIDE is publishing the player’s contract for the Women’s World Chess Championship to be held in Hatay, Turkey 2-25 December 2010.
The qualified players are expected to fax the original document of their signed contract to the FIDE Secretariat’s fax number: +30 2109212859 not later than midnight of Monday, 1st November 2010.
FIDE is also publishing the initial list of qualifiers which will be updated shortly with all continental qualifiers, as received by the Continental Presidents, and with the nominees of the FIDE President. Womens Wch is annual event. Year 2010 is determined through knock out format (turkey 2-25 dec). The challenger for 2011 is determined through grand prix (of which 5 is completed).

Why should she? She can beat Kosteniuk in a simul. She should never lower her standard.
Yes Judit should never lower her standard. Infact I support fully her competing in open tournaments againts men. I’m even convicted she’s a potential world champion in the men championship.
But why not to compete in the women world championship and demonstrate who’s the true queen of chess?

Kosteniuk isn’t even in the top 10 after the Olympiad. What’s to prove? The rest of the women should prove by getting to 2700. Moron!
anon 4:10, I’m sure Judit is eager to play in an inferior tournament to her standard with Kosteniuk just to prove to you. Who the hell are you? I’m sure if you put up $1 million purse, all the Polgar sisters will compete. But for peanuts as it is now, why? If Kosteniuk wants a shot, she can pay to play Judit in a simul.

Judit is still the best, but the gap is closing quickly. With the random two game matches, you have to be good for sure but you also need a little luck.
Judit Polgar, if she decides to take part, is going to dominate and annihilate all of them on the board! Yes, all of them! Too bad she won’t compete. She should do it just once. And Koneru Humpy, the second highest rated after Judit, has been known to falter and choke when it matters the most.
