1.Bb6!!! Busts Black who now has to lose lot of material!
>A-1…..Bxb6.2.Rxc8!!
>>A1-2…Rxc8.3.Qb2+!.Rc3.4.Qxc3+.Bd4.5.Qxd4+.Qe5. 6.Qxe5+.f3.7.Qxf3#!
>>A2-2…Bd4/Qe5.3.Rxf8+.Kg7.4.Rxf7+.Kh8.(5.Nc8!! Picks up the Ra7 and White wins easily; already a N up + Ra7 is trapped and white has a mating attack! ) Even simpler win is 5.Qc1
>B-1….Qe5.2.Bxa7.Bxa7.3.Nxc8.Bd4.4.Ne7 and white is a N up with a continuing attack.
Other moves lead to heavy material loss and mate. It is amazing how an apparently strong a1h8 diagonal for black turns out to be his nemesis1
Black’s pieces are in disharmony.
1.Bb6 Qe5
(1… Bxb6 2.Rxc8 Bd8 3.Rxd8 Rxd8
4.Qb2+ f6 5.Qf6#)
(1… Bg7 2.Bxa7 with a R up.)
2.Bxd4 (better than 2.Bxa7)Qxd4
3.Nxc8 and the R at a7 succumbs.
Bb6
idea is to win rook at a7 by attacking with bishop. So Qd3, chasing away defender of b6. if Qh3, attacking rook on c1, rook moves to c2?
attack rook on a7 by moving rook to b6? first have to move away defender of b6, so qd3, and if qh6, attacking rook on c1, rook moves to c2?
1. Bb6 deflects the B from d4, and also opens a line to the Bc8. If Black takes the B, white plays R:c8 and the roof falls in on Black.
But 1…Qe5 2. B:a7 B:a7 3. R:c8 R:c8 5. N:c8 and White is a piece up.
